About SureFoot Pets
Straight answers for worried dog owners. We research the evidence, cite every claim, state every limit — and tell you when not to buy.
SureFoot Pets started with a simple frustration: almost every page answering a worried dog owner’s question is published by someone selling the answer. The advice is always “yes, buy this”.
We do things differently. We read the veterinary literature and the guidance from veterinary bodies and welfare organizations, and we write plain-English guides that cite a named source for every clinical claim — so you can check it against the original rather than take our word for it.
What we are not
We are not veterinarians, and we do not employ a vet to review this site. We think you should know that, because plenty of pages in this space imply clinical authority they don’t have. Our guides are educational; they never replace your vet, and they tell you clearly when a situation needs one.
What we make
Seconds to Hours is our evidence-based home plan for dogs with separation anxiety: an 82-page illustrated guide, a fillable workbook, an Excel tracker and a quick-start card, built on 111 studies and official sources. Every section is labeled Research shows, Experts advise or Our rule of thumb, so you always know how strong the ground is.
Our mobility guides apply the same standard to cruciate injuries and knee braces — including telling you when a brace is the wrong thing to buy.
How we work
- Every clinical statement is attributed to a named study or veterinary body, and linked.
- Where the evidence is small, industry-funded, mixed or only correlational, we say so.
- Our own practical rules are labeled as ours.
- Reward-based methods only. No punishment, no shock or bark collars.
- Corrections are welcome — and fixed openly. Read our editorial policy.
