Why that does not change our recommendations

It would be easy to say "we're unbiased" and move on. Instead, here is the structural reason you can check us on:

Our entire competitive position is that we tell you things the manufacturers will not — that the evidence on bracing is mixed, that most returned braces are returned because of measurement error, that a German Shepherd with painless hind-leg weakness probably has a problem a knee brace cannot touch. If we traded that for commission, we would just be another shop, and there are already dozens of those ranking above us.

So when we tell you not to buy something, that is not modesty. It is the product.

What we will sell directly

Over time we intend to stock mobility products ourselves. When we do, we will label our own products clearly as ours, and we will keep recommending other companies' products where they are the better fit — particularly custom-moulded braces, which we do not make.

What we will not do
